Bühnenkampfring

Most of the big stage combat organisations worldwide offer the option of membership, that feature a variety of benefits. Members receive regular newsletters and discounts at workshops and regular classes.

These organisations strive for high standards in their training, they offer workshops and classes and train teachers and fight directors.

In the hope that some time in the near future a similar organisation will come into life in the German speaking countries, Stage-Combat.de would like to offer a test model.

This model has the working title "Bühnenkampfring" (stage combat ring). It has been created and is currently run by Stage-Combat.de. Should it be received positively we would like to continue it as a non-profit democratic organisation/ association.

A project like this needs the input, ideas and criticism of all those involved and interested in it. After all, it's new and we would like to incorporate everybody's interests. Please let us know what you think!

Benefits for members of "Bühnenkampfring"

• 10% discount for all Stage-Combat.de workshop fees (approximately 4 per year)
• 10% discount for all workshops associated with Stage-Combat.de/ Bühnenkampfring (not coordinated but supported by Stage-Combat.de/ Bühnenkampfring)
• advance info on future workshops in Germany, Europe and worldwide
• a newsletter, published between two and four times each year with info, news and articles about stage combat
• member's area on the website with access to workshop scripts, fight choreographies, recommended reading, equipment tips
• help in coordinating your own workshops, finding teachers and advertising (either as an associated or independent workshop)
• help finding other stage combatants, groups and fight directors 
• in the future we are hoping to have our membership recognized by other international stage combat organisations (BASSC, BADC, SAFD, Nordic Stagefight, New Zealand Stagefight, SAuFD) so that we will be able to offer and receive reciprocal discounts.

Terms &Conditions

Membership dues are 25 EUR per year for all those with a postal address in  Europe (see definition on the right). For everyone else the dues are 35 EUR.

Membership commences once the dues have been transferred to our account. It automatically ends December 31 and only continues if the dues for the following year have been received at that time.

To be eligible for membership discounts for workshops you need to be either already a member or sign up and pay for your membership at the time of registration for that workshop.

If a workshop takes place at the very beginning of a year (e.g. 2005) and its registration period reaches into the previous year (2004), a new membership received together with the registration for that workshop will be valid the entire following year (in this case 2005).

The minimum age for membership is 16. If you are under 18 years of age you will need written consent of a parent or legal guardian to become a member.
